I’m thrilled to share our next chapter: Pathway is being acquired by Doximity. Together, we’re building practical, evidence-based AI tools to support clinical decision-making.
This partnership accelerates our roadmap and brings our AI and medical knowledge graph to even more clinicians.
Pathway and Doximity
I first connected with Jeff Tangney, Doximity’s co-founder and CEO, through our shared mission of making clinicians’ lives easier. Jeff previously co-founded Epocrates, the first medical app on the iPhone and a tool that helped define mobile clinical reference for a generation of clinicians.
That same focus lives on at Doximity, now home to over 80% of U.S. physicians and deeply embedded in how healthcare professionals connect, stay informed, and deliver care. Together, we saw the next opportunity: improving clinical practice through responsible, real-world applications of AI.
As we spoke, it became clear we shared a vision: AI that understands the nuance of medicine, the pressure of the frontlines, and the value of a clinician’s time.
What's next
We’ve been working side-by-side with our new Doximity teammates to elevate our clinical reference tools and to make them available to even more healthcare professionals free of charge.
Our models are powered by a medical knowledge graph developed over seven years, spanning nearly every clinical guideline, peer-reviewed paper, drug, landmark trial, risk calculator, and more. They’re trained to reflect the evidence hierarchy, cite sources, and adapt to the way clinicians think and work.
With Doximity’s reach, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure, and deep integration at the point of care, we’re joining forces to bring the next generation of evidence-based clinical reference to millions.
