Warnings and precautions
Allergic reactions
Use caution with a history of allergic reactions to dyes. Prior to using Indocyanine Green, assess patients for a history of allergic reactions to dyes and consider alternative diagnostic methods if such allergies are identified. Initiate appropriate treatment based on the severity of the reaction, which may include administering antihistamines, corticosteroids, and supportive care.
Exacerbation of renal failure
Use caution with pre-existing renal failure or uremia, and those who are on dialysis. Assess patients for pre-existing renal conditions and monitor closely. Provide supportive care and consider appropriate medical interventions such as hemodialysis if necessary.
