T1. Tumor with capsular invasion
T2: Tumor with invasion of surrounding soft tissues, excluding the vital organs trachea, larynx, and esophagus
T3: Tumor with vascular invasion
T4: Tumor with invasion of vital organs (hypopharynx, trachea, esophagus, larynx, recurrent laryngeal nerve, or carotid artery)
Lymph node classification
Nx: Regional lymph nodes cannot be assessed
N0: No regional lymph node metastasis
N1: Regional lymph node metastasis present
Metastasis classification
M0: No distant metastasis
M1: Distant metastasis present
Stage cannot be fully assessed
