Rosenberg-Patterson criteria for allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis
Major criteria for diagnosis
Asthma
Peripheral blood eosinophilia
Elevated total IgE (> 1,000 U/mL)
Immediate skin reactivity (type I hypersensitivity) to Aspergillus antigen
Precipitating antibodies (IgG) against Aspergillus fumigatus
Elevated Aspergillus fumigatus-specific IgG and IgE
Transient or fixed pulmonary opacities on imaging
Central bronchiectasis
Minor criteria
Aspergillus in sputum (by repeated culture or microscopic examination)
Expectoration of brownish black mucus plugs
Late skin reactivity (type III hypersensitivity, Arthus reaction) to Aspergillus
Diagnostic criteria for ABPA are not met
