Abbreviated injury score for inhalation injury (AIS)

Bronchoscopic findings
No carbonaceous deposits, erythema, edema, bronchorrhea or obstruction
Minor or patchy areas of erythema, carbonaceous deposits in proximal or distal bronchi
Moderate erythema, carbonaceous deposits, bronchorrhea with or without compromise of the bronchi
Severe inflammation with friability, copious carbonaceous deposits, bronchorrhea, or bronchial obstruction
Mucosal sloughing, necrosis, or endoluminal obstruction
