ASGE/SAGES criteria for stratification of common bile duct stones

Age of > 55 years
Evidence of common bile duct stone on abdominal ultrasound
Common bile duct diameter > 6 mm (with gallbladder in situ)
Clinical ascending cholangitis
Total serum bilirubin 1.8-4 mg/dL
Total serum bilirubin > 4 mg/dL
Abnormal liver function tests (other than bilirubin)
Clinical gallstone pancreatitis
Risk of common bile duct stone is low
