Contraindications
A history of hypersensitivity to natural or recombinant interferon beta or peginterferon
Warnings and precautions
Autoimmune disorders
Use caution with a history of autoimmune diseases.
Congestive HF
Use caution with a history of cardiac disease such as angina, cardiac arrhythmias, or myocardial infarction.
Drug-induced liver injury
Use caution with a history of hepatitis, hepatic disease, jaundice, or alcoholism.
Exacerbation of depression
Use caution with a history of depression, suicidal ideation, or other psychiatric disorders.
Hematologic disorder
Use caution with bone marrow suppression or who are receiving myelosuppressive therapy.
Seizures
Use caution with a history of seizure disorder.
Thrombotic microangiopathy
Use caution with underlying medical conditions or factors that predispose them to the development of Thrombotic microangiopathy (e.g; with autoimmune diseases).

Arthralgia, asthenia, fever, headache, injection site reactions, myalgia, pain, shivering

↓ WBC count, ↑ serum ALT, ↑ serum AST, ↑ serum gamma-glutamyltransferase, itching, nausea, skin rash, vomiting
Uncommon < 1%
↓ blood lymphocyte count, ↓ blood neutrophil count, ↓ platelet count, seizure
Rare < 0.1%
Anaphylaxis, ↓ platelet count, pancytopenia
