The following summarized guidelines for the evaluation and management of testicular trauma are prepared by our editorial team based on guidelines from the European Association of Urology (EAU 2022), the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS 2018), and the American Urological Association (AUA 2014).
Clinical examination: stabilize the patient with testicular trauma and administer adequate analgesia. Examine the genitalia once the patient is stable ensuring that the degree of swelling is documented compared to the contralateral side.
